We (mother and daughter)just happened to be in Ansonia and stopped in by chance just to look around. And ooohhhhh a “coup de coeur💕 “ moment for the perfect kitchen table and chairs, yep we ended up taking them home. We could easily have taken home a couple other things! Truly soooo many beautiful , well made furniture. And bonus; lovely helpful service, yes we will be back! Recommended 100+% !!!

Well this furniture store was an amazing find! I had been shopping for furniture, specifically a couch, for a month for my new place. I had not bought new furniture in over 25 years so I was really committed to taking my time and researching my purchase. I had visited many of the big box stores and ran due to their inability to answer simple questions about how and where the products were made. I also was not impressed with their pressure sales techniques to get me to buy something before I was 100% sure. Honestly I had almost given up but then I googled “mom and pop furniture stores near me” and found Spector Furniture in Ansiona. Their reviews were amazing so I took a drive and let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I made. From the minute I walked in the store I knew I was in a different place. There were no high pressure sales people. When I was approached by a salesperson (who I found out was one of the owners whose name is Howie), he politely greeted me and asked me what I was looking for and proceeded to change my view of furniture store sales people! Howie spent two hours with me going over my many options, he fully explained how each couch I was looking at was constructed and made me think about how I would feel about my decision over time. When he heard I had a back injury from a car accident he steered me to specific couches that would support my back better as I sat on the couch! Thanks to Howie, I purchased a couch that I know will give me many years worth of comfort and happiness. If you have never been here you must go and experience what the world sadly lacks these days…good old fashioned amazing customer service! I paid more for my couch here at Spectors but you truly get what you pay for. The quality of the furniture they carry and stand behind is far superior to anything I saw in the bigger discount stores. I want to thank Howie for helping me make a wise stylish decision that I can live with for years!

Want to Spectors based on a family recommendation today. Found exactly what I was looking for pretty quickly! I was helped by someone who took the time to listen to what I wanted and she led me right to it! Prices are very competitive and I appreciate supporting a local long time family business over a chain furniture store. I had looked at several of them over the past few years but never really found what I was looking for. But then I walked into Spectors and find it almost immediately. Great customer service!
